Welcome to our wood-fired bush bath experience! To ensure you have a relaxing and safe time, please follow these instructions:
Starting the Fire:
We will start heating the bush bath for you. It takes about one to two hours for the water to reach the desired temperature.
Heating the water:
Add wood to the fire every 20 minutes to maintain the temperature.
Slide the lid to the side when you add wood to the fire and stir the water.
Use the red pipe located on the platform to stir the water after adding wood. This helps to even out the water temperature.
While the water is heating up, please keep the plywood sheet (lid) on the bath. This helps preserve the temperature, similar to having a lid on a pot of boiling water.
Monitoring the Temperature:
Be mindful of the hot spot where the hot water comes out, as this area can be very hot.
If the water becomes too hot, you can add cold water using the buckets provided.
Regularly monitor the temperature, as the heating continues as long as the fire is burning.
Using the Bath:
When you are ready to have a bath, remove the lid.
Make sure the fire isn't roaring when you get in the water as this will keep heating the water past comfortable levels and steam will push out through the water outlet (hotspot)
After Using the Bath:
When you are done, please leave the water in the bathtub as long as the fire is active.
It is crucial to keep the water in the tub to prevent the pipes from overheating and cracking.
Please place the lid back to protect the bath.
Thank you and enjoy your relaxing time!
